You can read the manual without an account. Providing an email is necessary only for email sign-in and saved progress. Guest lesson progress is temporary. We do not use account registration as permission to send marketing emails.
Sign-in choices
Email sign-in uses Supabase to verify your address and Resend to deliver a one-time code. Codes expire after ten minutes. Sign-in emails are branded Just Start Learning and currently sent from [email protected]. You can also sign in through ChatGPT; the hosting platform supplies a verified account identifier and email address. If you verify the same email while also signed in with ChatGPT, your existing ChatGPT learning progress can be copied into your email account.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on public learning pages of our custom domain. Our analytics loader excludes the sign-in and owner-report pages. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics beacon does not use cookies, local storage or cross-site identifiers to measure usage. Its service and our hosting still process network requests; this notice does not describe the whole site as anonymous.
Analytics reports are separate from your checkpoint answers. We do not deliberately send your email or account identifier to the analytics beacon. See our cookie information and Cloudflare’s description of its beacon.
Who receives information
Access is limited to people operating the service and providers needed to deliver it: OpenAI’s Sites hosting and optional ChatGPT sign-in, Cloudflare’s hosting/database infrastructure and analytics, Supabase authentication, and Resend email delivery. Owners can view account and learning summaries through private reports, including through an authenticated ChatGPT connection. These reports are not public.
Provider information: OpenAI, Cloudflare, Supabase, and Resend. Providers may have separate responsibilities for their own account, security and service data. We do not sell your learning account information.
Storage and international processing
Our Supabase authentication project is configured in an EU region. Other hosting, email, analytics, support or security processing may occur outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer of personal data is subject to GDPR transfer rules, it requires an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.
How long information is kept
Your account information and learning progress are retained while your account remains open so you can return to the course. You can request account closure and deletion at any time. We may retain limited records when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The site’s email sign-in session expires after 30 days or ends when you sign out. Expired session and attempt-limit records are cleared during subsequent relevant authentication requests. Provider security logs, email delivery records and backups have separate retention arrangements; request details from us where needed. Enquiry and rights-request records are kept only as long as needed to resolve and document the request and meet applicable obligations.
Your rights and account deletion
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or a portable copy of your data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including analytics. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email from the address associated with your account and identify Just Start Learning. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting account information. These requests are handled by email; clicking a link does not itself delete an account. We normally respond within one month, subject to the extensions permitted by GDPR.
You may complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection or the supervisory authority in your EU/EEA country of habitual residence, work or the alleged infringement.
Automated decisions and changes
Checkpoint scoring is automatic and intended to help you learn. We do not use it to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you. If our practices change, we will update this notice and provide additional notice when required.
